It is my honor and privilege to introduce the world to Sarah Michelle who was born Friday, January 4th at 8:25am. At that time she weighed 7lb 11.5oz and was over 19 inches tall (when posed in such a position*).

Both baby and mother are doing fantastic. This was a scheduled eviction to ensure the complications** faced four years ago would not happen again.

I am too tired to shrink the photo’s down so here are some thumbnails linking to the big versions:
Kim and Sarah at the Hospital Josh meets Sarah for the first time Sarah likes riding in cars Kim and Sarah are happy to be home at last *@!$%&$ paparazzi and their flashes “Babies don’t eat apples, they eat fingers!”

We got home Tuesday afternoon and are are still settling in. Josh is adjusting quite well and dotes on his new little sister. For the first few hours he tried to pretend she was not there. That changed once she um… ‘got me’ while changing her. Josh ran upstairs when he heard me yell in surprise, and found the scene quite funny. His response was, ‘daddy, babies do that.’ She was A-OK in his book after that.

* She is often held in a standing position for hiccups; a family affliction in infancy and earlier.
